Where it Began
As an American-grown family with Persian (and Filipino) roots, we realize that you can't build a community without UNITY. In December of 2022, we started as a food truck in Lakeland, Florida, serving a Mediterranean and Persian-American FUSION cuisine. Our Kabob Burgers, Chicken Wing Kabobs, and Shish Kabob Sandwiches weren't just delicious foods that combined flavorful Persian kabob dishes with American favorites. They were an invitation and a way of bringing people to the same table, sharing something made with love and rooted in culture.
Our tagline says it best: "bringing food together the way it brings people together." Fusion on the plate. Unity at the table.
Why We Chose the Name Feasts of Persia
We are proud Americans. We wear it on our shirts and carry it in everything we do. But we also carry the culture, the warmth, and the history of the Persian world. When American service members come to our table and tell us our food reminds them of the good parts of being overseas, of the beauty in the food and the people they encountered in regions once called the Persian Empire, that means everything to us.
Cyrus the Great, founder of the Persian Empire, was a pioneer of human rights at a time when the world had never seen anything like it. He declared that all people, regardless of race or religion, had the right to choose their own path. The Cyrus Cylinder is recognized as the world's first charter of human rights. Its principles spread throughout the ancient world, influencing cultures in India, Greece, and Rome, and shaping the foundations of modern civilization as we know it.
When we say Feasts of Persia, we're honoring that legacy. A civilization built on unity, dignity, and the belief that all people deserve to share in something good.
From the Truck to the Table
Along the way, we discovered something. The food we were serving didn't just taste good. It was genuinely good for you. Our menu aligned naturally with the Mediterranean diet, one of the most celebrated and well-researched approaches to eating well in the world. So we leaned into it. We worked with a nutritionist to refine our menu, adjusting portions, swapping white hoagie rolls for whole wheat wraps, and balancing protein and vegetables to make every meal as nourishing as it was flavorful.
What started as a food truck became something bigger: a platform for a lifestyle. And at the center of that lifestyle was our hummus.
The Hummus Nobody Saw Coming
We didn't set out to reinvent hummus. But somewhere along the way, that's exactly what we did. Our Signature Hummus was the foundation: fresh, creamy, and homemade-style in a way that made people stop and ask where it came from. Then we went further. Cinnamon. Coffee. Espresso made with locally-sourced Divicious Espresso. Flavors that nobody had fused with hummus before, and flavors that nobody who's tried them has forgotten.
Our hummus has been called the best hummus people have ever had. It converts people who've never liked hummus. And it surprises people who thought they'd had the best. That's not something we planned. That's something our community told us, and we listened.
The Movement Behind the Food
The food truck taught us that food is more than fuel. It's connection. It's community. It's the reason people gather. That belief became Fuel Our Power: a community of fitness and wellness professionals dedicated to helping others live the Mediterranean lifestyle. Eat well. Move daily. Connect deeply. The same values that drove us on the road are the ones that drive us today.
What Began on Wheels is Now on Shelves
Our first retail home found us the way the best things do: through community. The owner of The Old South Country Market discovered us through a Fuel Our Power video featuring our original personal trainer, whose youth group the owner's daughter attended. She asked for the connection and he made it. Within days, we brought a sample. Within the same week, our hummus was officially on shelves. One year later, we're in three locations and growing. That's what happens when food brings people together.
Today our hummus is in retailers and restaurants in Lakeland, Florida. Tomorrow it's on shelves near you. We're a family brand with big flavors, a clear mission, and a community behind us that keeps growing. We're just getting started, and we're glad you're here.
